Whenever I see The Little Shepherdess by Paul Peel alongside The Tiff by Florence Carlyle, I can’t help but think that one grew up into the other. Then I start wanting to write the story that takes us from an innocent, smiling A amongst nature to that fed-up, adult B in some quiet corner at a private function, a wedding or the like happening ten feet away.
